About this album
Luda has always been able to ignite the club, but The Red Light District shows his pen game at its most scintillating. On “Number One Spot”, the Southern legend fires sharp, witty one-liners over orchestration that reimagines the Austin Powers theme tune as a brash hip-hop beat. Just as cocksure is the bass-heavy bump of “Get Back,” a classic Ludacris anthem that could charge the tank of all speedsters’ rides, while “Child of the Night” reunites him with “Area Codes” cohort Nate Dogg for another swaggering hustlers' anthem.
