Modo Avión

Coming up in the Rich Music ranks alongside Sech, música urbana artist Dalex saw his prospects in the genre quickly soar as singles off his R&B-laced Climaxxx album grew into Latin hits. Following up that effort somewhat by surprise is Modo Avión, a succinct stopgap that epitomizes his suave approach via evocative cuts like “Matemáticas” and the soaring “Qué Tal.” He dips his toe into dancehall waters alongside more seasoned Spanish-language reggae travelers Farruko and Yemil on “Sunroof.” Sech turns up to vibe with his labelmate on the licentious perreo of “Perfume” and the slick Akon interpolation “Mejor.”
