About this album

Since his rollicking score for TV crime drama Scam 1992 took the nation by storm in 2020, Achint Thakkar—founder of now-defunct psych-rock band Rosemary—has established himself as the go-to soundtrack composer for big indie series and flicks. For this crime-comedy caper, he taps into a retro Bollywood aesthetic that’s as nostalgic as it is toe-tapping. Buoyed by Varun Grover’s effervescent lyrics, tracks like opener “Yeh Ek Zindagi”, which channels Lionel Richie’s “All Night Long (All Night)”, and the euphoric “Bye Bye Adios” exude old-school charm via disco synths and trilling choruses.
