G - Worthy (feat. Cardo Got Wings)

Jay Worthy’s gruff, funky flow is perfectly matched with G Perico’s high-pitched sneer on this collaborative album, with classic West Coast sounds (melodic synthesizers, silky vocoders) courtesy of producer Cardo. The smooth beats and confident brags of “Foolish” will make you want to lean back in an imaginary lowrider, and the sashaying hustler’s anthem “Versace Robe” asserts the group’s loyalty to the old-school with some help from velvet-voiced singer Ray Wright, who channels the spirit of Californian hip-hop star Nate Dogg.
