The corridos of Tres Botes employ a strikingly minimalist approach to norteño, but Perdidos De Sinaloa fill in that empty space with maximum emotion. Switching between agreeably rough live takes and more polished studio performances, the deeply romantic trio find a surprising amount of variety within their stripped-down style, taking in both the sweepingly joyful "Inventame" and the overwhelmingly mournful "No Me Critiquen." And even at his softest, frontman Dariel Ramírez stirs up powerful feelings with a force to rival any number of flashier ensembles.
