About this album

The ultimate country-music dream team, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, and Kris Kristofferson (a.k.a. the Highwaymen) stunned their fans by joining forces on this 1985 debut album. They dig into a fascinating grab bag of songs here, including a revamp of Cash's colourful madhouse ballad "Committed to Parkview," a take on Guy Clark's cinematic "Desperados Waiting for a Train,” and a slowly swelling version of Bob Seger’s “Against the Wind” that somehow lends the song even more gravitas.
