About this album

Hall & Oates’ seventh studio album, Along the Red Ledge, planted the seeds for their future hits while featuring an impressive bevy of guitar guests. “It’s a Laugh” strikes a polished balance between rock, soul, and arena-worthy pop music, while the riff-laden “Don’t Blame It on Love” gets a serrated edge courtesy of Robert Fripp. “The Last Time” even evokes The Beach Boys with its summery harmonies, with a guest solo from George Harrison giving the track a little Beatles kick to boot.
