About this album

The eccentric piano genius transforms Zurich's 1977 Boogie Woogie & Ragtime Piano Contest into a New Orleans saloon on this live solo album, bobbing and weaving between boogiefests like "Tell Me How Do You Feel" and the sensitive rolling arpeggiations of "Come Rain or Come Shine." His Ray Charles side shines through on two Percy Mayfield tracks, and the pop hit "Somethin' Stupid” sees its IQ ascend considerably thanks to Booker's dreamy modulations.
