About this album

Del shows great respect for Parliament-Funkadelic (the George in the title refers to George Clinton) as he narrated the minutiae of his day. Whether cracking on characters ("Mistadobolina," "Dr. Bombay") , the pitfalls of public transportation ("The Wacky World of Mass Transit"), or unwanted visitors ("Sleepin' On My Couch"), I Wish My Brother George Was Here established Del and the Hieroglyphics crew as forward-thinking mystics, distancing themselves from the gun chatter emanating from other rappers.
