Nothing (Deluxe Explicit Version)

They may have roared onto the scene as trucker-hatted punks but Pharrell Williams, Chad Hugo, and Shay Haley engage intriguingly with wider issues on a complex, ambitious fourth record that takes in jazz-scented political conflict (“It’s In the Air”) and environmental angst (“Life As a Fish”). Not that Nothing ignores N.E.R.D’s party-loving heartland. Nelly Furtado feature “Hot-n-Fun” drips seductive R&B and Daft Punk collaboration “Hypnotize U” is effectively an ‘80s-themed trial balloon for the all-conquering “Get Lucky.”
