About this album
Janet Jackson sounds blissful and carefree on 20 Y.O., and it definitely suits her. The album title marks the two decades that passed since her breakthrough, Control, which fused R&B, funk, pop, rap, and disco into one of the most exciting sounds of the '80s. Picking up where that landmark album left off, Jackson reunites with producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis for electro-infused jams like her shimmering collaboration with Nelly, "Call On Me," and the delicate ballad "Take Care.”
