Sigma—university friends Cameron Edwards and Joe Lenzie—followed a very clever formula on their debut album. It’s a formula that ensured Life contained six hit singles on its release: soaring, ultra-melodic vocals collide with walloping drum ‘n' bass to produce euphoric, arms-aloft anthems. Labrinth’s earnest appearance on “Higher” and the introspective Rita Ora collaboration “Coming Home” hint at a more mature future sound, but this is hedonistic party music executed brilliantly. “Nobody to Love”, “Changing” and “Glitterball” will be soundtracking the summer holidays of your children’s children.
