About this album
The arrival of singer/songwriter/guitarist John Corabi signalled a big departure for Mötley Crüe. Ditching the pop-metal of their Vince Neil years, they instead unload grungy workouts like “Power to the Music” and the meaty “Hooligan’s Holiday”, which wrap the frontman’s gravelly shouts in murky, grinding rhythms. Axeman Mick Mars is vital to the band’s overhauled sound, his roots in blues rock coming out in a number of tunes, including the slide guitar and nasty swagger of “Welcome to the Numb”.
