Though Luis Fonsi might now be best-known as the lead artist behind the record-breaking global smash “Despacito”, the Puerto Rican singer boasts a discography of Spanish-language hits spanning more than two decades. Following the success of 2019’s momentous VIDA, its follow-up further confirms his formidable status and musical artistry. Once more, he pours his heart and soul into meaningful moments like “Dolce”, its uplifting melody and thumping rhythm a worthy complement to its lyrical pleas for a romantic rekindling. A fervent collaborator in recent years, he taps in here with Latin music’s young superstars Rauw Alejandro on “Vacío” and Myke Towers on the bachata-tinged “Bésame”. Fonsi further transports his pop powers to the tropical reggae vibes of “Perfecta” with Farruko, as well as on the balladic title track with Colombian duo Cali Y El Dandee.
