Get A Grip

Aerosmith's mid-career resurgence continued unabated into the '90s, thanks to the snake-charming hard-rock master class of Get a Grip. Jagged guitars and fuzzed-out grooves jump-start the upper-class-skewering "Eat the Rich”, while "Fever" is an old-school rock ‘n’ roll rave-up, and Joe Perry's smokestack-blues guitar solo on "Cryin'" ranks among his best. Then there's the propulsive "Livin' On the Edge", a gritty power ballad decked with snarling guitar waves, cascading harmonies and freewheeling, boogie-woogie sass.
