About this album

Though Ride shone brightest in the first wave of shoegaze, this compilation demonstrates just how deftly they adapted to the rise of Britpop before disbanding in 1996. This journey took them all the way from the reverb-laden haze of “Drive Blind” to the irresistible ‘60s jangle-pop of “Twisterella” to the terse, tense mod-rock of “Black Nite Crash”. In the band’s defining moment, they cover the same distance in a single song: “Leave Them All Behind”, eight minutes of stadium-scale fuzz and rock-anthem force.
