About this album
It’s on their second album that thrash legends Megadeth became a force of nature. Blending screw-the-Man belligerence with dizzyingly frenetic chops, the well-honed group hits warp factor 10 on “Bad Omen”, “The Conjuring”, “Devils Island” and an absolutely bonkers cover of Howlin’ Wolf’s “I Ain’t Superstitious”. Being the self-respecting metalhead that he is, Dave Mustaine growls plenty about demons and witchcraft, yet he also addresses social issues on the title track with a wit that’s biting and satirical.
