Disgusting

Disgusting is a throwback-style slugfest that yanks metalcore off the dance floor and tosses it back into the mosh pit. Synths and EDM beats need not apply, only crushing breakdowns, lung-scraping vocals, and rousing choruses that demand audience participation. “Beaten in Lips” is 100% forward propulsion, like a locomotive violently jumping the rails. “Relapsing,” meanwhile, can’t even find the rails as singer Caleb Shomo descends into chaotic paranoia. To prove Beartooth also know how to bust a hook-filled anthem, there’s “Keep Your American Dream,” a super-catchy zinger that sticks it to the man.
