Trey Songz brings us two EPs of raw, unprocessed R&B sex jaunts. “Don’t Play”, he warns as bass notes throb and pulse around him, but he’s all about the game. The trebly synth lines of “Boss” paint a wealthy ladies’ man eager to wine and dine us, but wary of long-term commitment. The slowed-down, half-time breakbeat of “How Could You Forget” finds him and rapper Pusha T yearning for ex-girlfriends, while “#FWYB” blends a chiptune melody and a trap beat with Trey’s macho boasts, still delivered in his creamy, sensuous voice.
