About this album

Prize-winning Swedish Norwegian violinist Johan Dalene presents tenderly lyrical performances of two well-beloved works of the Romantic violin concerto repertoire. But what places this album truly out of the ordinary is an unusual arrangement of Vaughan Williams’ soulful The Lark Ascending. For that poignant work, Dalene is joined by the Swedish Radio Choir in British composer Paul Drayton’s haunting, soul-stirring arrangement for violin and choir.
