At Home with Bad Bunny: The Playlist

With three chart-topping albums in 2020, Bad Bunny is one of the biggest musical stars in Latin pop—even if he feels like his success hasn’t sunk in yet. “Deep in my heart, I feel the same,” El Conejo Malo tells Apple Music. “A lot of things are changing for me as an artist and as a person, but in a positive way, I learned a lot from life. I am so grateful that I feel that I'm the same person, the same young guy. I'm still dreaming. I'm still working like it’s the first day, you know?” The prolific superstar has been celebrating the holidays with friends and family from his home in Puerto Rico and enjoying many of the island’s festive traditions. “We’ve got the longest Christmas in the world,” he says. “We start Christmas from October to February and March.” In Apple Music’s At Home With series, Bad Bunny shares he’s been putting up the Christmas tree lights to salsa orchestra legends El Gran Combo, listening to classic salsa singer Ismael Rivera when the mood calls for calm, and reminiscing about listening to bolero group Trio Los Condes with his grandparents—since he wants to keep them safe and out of harm’s way due to the current pandemic. “[It brings back] some pretty happy moments,” he says. “I'm in Vega Baja with my grandma and my grandpa, running through the garden with my cousins. Good memories.”
