Issu d'une famille d'activistes (ses parents étaient tous les deux membres des Black Panthers), l'artiste est bien connu pour ses paroles engagées et sa lutte contre le racisme. Créateur du concept « Thug Life », 2Pac est reconnu aujourd'hui comme l'un des meilleurs rappeurs et l'un des plus grands artistes de l'histoire. Sa fin tragique et prématurée aura participé à son élévation au rang de légende.
