Willie Bobo: The Session Musicians

This effusive Latin-jazz percussionist—hear him cry encouragement throughout Chico Hamilton's "Conquistadores" in 1965—was a prolific sideman before, during and after forming his own band in 1963. Bobo played with Tito Puente during the early '50s, adding conga to the Afro-Cuban mesh of "Oye Mi Guaguancó".
