Escape the Fate bildades i Las Vegas 2004 och upptäcktes året efter då de vann en tävling om att få agera förband till Alkaline Trio. Det ledde till ett skivkontrakt med Epitaph och deras debut-ep släpptes 2006. Trots ett antal medlemsbyten genom åren har de kommit att bli ett av de större namnen inom post hardcore och metalcore. De har turnerat med band som Atreyu och Hollywood Undead och nått en stor fanbase runt om i världen. Bandet har satt en modern prägel på rockmusik och influeras av alltifrån Metallica till My Chemical Romance.
