When a band features members of Pantera, Mudvayne and Nothingface, you know they're going to be heavy, and HELLYEAH are one of the heaviest supergroups in metal history. The hard-partying trio of Chad Gray, Tom Maxwell and Vinnie Paul first came together in 2006, blasting out a fist-pumping mix of hard-riffing groove metal and classic southern sludge. Despite their well-earned reputation for no-nonsense brutality, HELLYEAH can be surprisingly soulful, and their bluesy anthems have made them heroes to both extreme headbangers and old-school hard rock fans.
