About this playlist
Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel grew up together as elementary school friends. They began playing music together in the late-‘50s as the musical duo Tom and Jerry, but parted ways to attend college. The pair were later reunited in the folk scene of ‘60s Greenwich Village, and released their debut, Wednesday Morning, 3 A.M. in 1964. By 1966, they found success with the album Sounds of Silence, which solidified their status and began their cascade of hit records including three studio albums and the soundtrack to the film The Graduate.
