While they'd already achieved considerable popularity in their native UK and across Europe and Australia, it would be '96's Travelling Without Moving that would make Jamiroquai household names in the U.S. Thanks to a visually inventive breakthrough video, frontman Jay Kay became synonymous with their success, even when they recorded and performed as a collective. They're now known as one of the greatest acid jazz and funk bands, but their sound has always mutated to include influences from R&B, dance, disco, and a multitude of other genres.
